White Icicles

Someone once complimented my on my cakes saying that they were so different because they were so vividly coloured. I decided to see if I could create something equally striking but using no colour at all.

This wedding cake has three tiers and is topped off with even more spikes to give it height. The spikes are made from rice paper (remember 'eating paper' from the village sweet shop? Eastlake's to those who know home!) The unexpected treat for me is that when this cake was outside the icicles fluttered gently which made it look so delicate.
