Lighthouse Cake

This wedding cake was created for a wonderful couple getting married in a lighthouse and the duck-egg blue colour was continued throughout the wedding. I wanted to create the feel of a stormy day with the splashing waves and froth crashing up the walls of the lighthouse. The white sugar circles hanging from the waves were all glittery and spun round in the breeze.

Topped with a 35cm sugar lighthouse with two perching seagulls this cake was enormously high when completed. Each tier consists of two stacked chocolate cakes, (gooey chocolate sponge, dark and white chocolate chips and Bailey's buttercream - mmm!)
