This cake was created for a lady who was celebrating her 70th birthday. Inside all that upholstery are vanilla sponge cakes with homemade raspberry jam and whipped buttercream.

I loved making this cake - although carrying it to the car was a struggle as it was a very big cake and was very heavy. I always worry I'm going to trip whilst carrying a cake - but it hasn't happened yet!
