Crown jewels

I made this cake for a friend's wedding. I love the gorgeous sheen on it which has been created by using an edible silver spray over the handpainted cake. I just loved making this cake. My favourite kind of work is where I don't really know where I'm going when I start - I had a vague colour scheme in mind and the rest just came. Two days of fiddling, painting, carving, shaping and piping and I got there in the end!
