Tied with a bow

This three tiered fruit cake was made as an alternative to the traditional Christmas cake - it's a shimmering gift with sugary satin bows waiting to be presented to someone special.

The sequinned ribbon around the board just gives it that extra Christmas glamour. I painted the lower half of each tier with a creamy gold and edged it with pearl coloured piped beads.
